Winning bid: US $15,201.00 Seller: vigilantecomics ( 215)

Here's the description:

"Action Comics #7 (Dec. 1938) CGC 4.0 – 2nd Superman Cover / 3rd Highest Graded Copy!

VigilanteComics Presents the DC Golden Age pedigree key – Action Comics #7 – in an unrestored, CGC graded
Very Good 4.0 condition. Prior to bidding, please read TERMS / CONDITIONS below.

This is as close as it gets to an Action Comics #1, the second ever cover appearance of Superman! Because this book
came out before the advent of Superman #1, this is only the second time the Man of Steel had graced the cover of comics!
Action Comics #7 is one of the hardest books to locate and purchase in the entire Action Comics 800+ issue run. Even
more rare than Action Comics #1 – in that if you research the CGC census and GPAnalysis.com websites, you’ll find
that there are less graded and traded Action 7’s than his first appearance in Action Comics #1. However, this data
does not take into account any ungraded issues out there not appearing in these reports. Nevertheless…

As of June 27, 2006, Action Comics #7 shows 1 of only 7 unrestored copies the CGC Online Population Report, with
4.0 being the third highest graded unrestored copy (the highest in 7.0). In contrast, Action Comics #1 has 20 unrestored
examples thus far identified – the highest graded in 8.5. Due to the demand and rarity of this book, even a moderately
restored copy in a Good Minus 1.8 condition (not even in a Good 2.0 condition!) sold for the whopping price of $2300
a year ago last August, according to GPAnalysis.com. Overstreet Guide price for an unrestored 2.0 is $3000. This higher
graded, unrestored copy tends to sell for multiples of those prices & guide and when compared to the astronomical price
of an unrestored Action Comics #1, this more rare, 4.0 pedigree copy of the second cover appearance of Superman is a
steal of a deal!

This copy of Action Comics #7 is a pedigree accompanied with a certificate of authenticity (image below) as being from the
original owners of the Crestohl / Ross Collection. With amazing Off-White pages and gorgeous cover colors which truly
beam this Superman appearance out of another age… And how about being bounced around in the air, grabbed at the
foot by the Man of Steel himself! Really take a look at what’s happening on that cover… Ouch!!!

This is a true investment piece and a sound one for the years to come…

NO SECOND CHANCE OFFERS!!! Please don’t respond to anyone sending a fake second chance offer out there."
