We are turning back the clock to a time before GPA, before modern data tracking, and before the market cap of this hobby completely exploded. This Sunday we are going deep into the archives to audit the "dark age" Heritage Comic Auctions from the early 2000s. Since the first two auction predate GPA's records for Heritage Auctions, they exist in a blind spot for the hobby- CGC graded sales that aren't part of our community data set.
We're going to look through three of the earliest Heritage auctions and see what we can find. Also included is the July, 2002 auction which is in GPA but includes material from Geppi, Stan Lee and Russ Cochran. There are incredible gems in these early auctions.
Of particular note, we'll be cross-referencing these early-2000s auctions against my ongoing data mapping for the Edgar Church Data Project and the Lamont Larson List to see which pedigree keys changed hands completely under the radar.
Bring your coffee, get ready for some serious price shock, and join the live chat as we perform a forensic audit on the forgotten foundation of modern comic investing.
