High Comics Related Item For the Week Ending January 3, 2009

I wonder who did the color touching and the trim on such a nice book?

Seriously, if the scale of the restoration is reported correctly, then the color touch and trim probably turned an 8.5 or a 9.0 into a "9.6" and wiped away something like $100,000 in value.

Winning bid: US $25,095.00 Seller: robojo33( 1189 )

This listing is for a magnificent, white paged, Original 1962 Amaznig Fantasy #15 in Apparent NM+ condition.

It has very slight professional color touch (no bleedthrough) and is imperceptibly trimmed, neither of which most will be able to detect. It looks every bit os gorgeous as the scan illustrates and is only equaled in condion by the AF #15 CGC 9.6 Slight (P) that I auctioned on eBay earlier this year for $50,300. This is not the same comic.

The sole unrestored AF #15 in this condition, a CGC 9.6 Universal, would likely sell for $750,000 to $1,000,000 (based on the last CGC 9.4 selling for approx. $250,000).

This is a rare chance to own a visually comparable, and absolutely stunning example at a fraction of the cost, due to very slight, professional color touch, and an almost imperceptible trim.

Ring in the New Year by adding the single most desireable Silver age Key issue in unimagineable condition to your collection, for the approx. price of an unrestored FN!

The comic is original, complete, clean, very glossy, and has no other restoration of any kind.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS COMIC IS BEING LISTED AS RESTORED with FULL DISCLOSURE and WILL GRADE RESTORED IF AND WHEN SUBMITTED.

An apparent grade reflects the overall appearance after restoration.

This comic was already obviously a super high grade example before the very slight professional color touch and extremely fractional trim.
