Who belongs on the Mount Rushmore of comic book collecting?
In this 23rd episode of Edgar Church’s Basement, we are setting aside the creators and artists—no Stan Lee, no Jack Kirby. Instead, we turn the spotlight onto the fandom, dealer, and preservation side of the hobby: the architects, chroniclers, innovators, and market-makers who took a disposable pop-culture medium and built the structured collecting world we know today.
From the late-1960s mimeographed fanzines and classified ads to eight-figure pedigree discoveries, third-party encapsulation, and institutional auction houses, this episode breaks down the legacy of the major candidates
