ROBERT CRUMB – Original Artwork for Individual Page from AMERICAN SPLENDOR #5 entitled "Vox Populi – Harvey Pekar Publications, 1980, pen and ink with brush on paper, signed by the artist on the lower right corner to credit the writing of Harvey Pekar, also signed at the top right margin by the artist, this single page has two story lines and is entitled "Vox Populi," the top short features Pekar talking with a co-worker about Paul McCartneys Drug Bust… the final punch line being "Es a Beatle, let "Im crawl out", , image size is 12" x 8 1/4", on the same paper that Crumb used for every single American Splendor page, with perferated top edges, this page noted as #11, Robert Crumbs early 1970s pages now sell for upwards of $10,000 to $15,000 each and a recent Heritage Auction sold the cover for Mr. Natural #1 for over $100,000.00 – so this single page is a true rarity for a public offering on e-BAY, CONDITION is EXCELLENT, with one small paste over to lower right margin for page identification, paper is OFF-WHITE to WHITE PAPER, unframed and unmatted.
