Crazy Flaming Carrot Collection for sale

Forumite, and reader here, Howard Hallis, is selling a great Flaming Carrot collection on eBay. Here are his words from the auction…

"UT! Bob Burden’s Flaming Carrot has been a favorite of mine for many years. Surreal, hilarious and definitely original, the comics are great fun to read. The story of a man who read 5000 comics and decided to fight crime with stink bombs wearing a giant carrot mask and green flippers is definitely not your typical Marvel or DC clone.

"Even back when I collected comics in the 80’s, the early Flaming Carrot appearances were extremely hard to find. His first appearances in the Atlanta Fantasy Convention’s publication Visions could really only be obtained from the Carrot (and The Mystery Men’s) creator, Bob Burden. I struck up a correspondence with him, ordering a few books like Visions #1-4 and Tales of The MOD #1 that they didn’t carry in my local comic shops. Bob sent me quite a few sketches as well, and each time I wrote to him I made a list of guesses as to the secret identity of the Flaming Carrot.

"Still not revealed in any Flaming Carrot adventure to this day, the man behind the Carrot mask is known to a select few, and I’m proud to say that I guessed correctly who it was. If you win this auction, you will know as well… as I’m going to sell the letter in which Bob Burden told me my guess was on the money. I only hope beyond all hope that the winner of these books keeps the secret as well…"
