Oh yeah! Heritage!
Superman #14 (DC, 1942) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. Is there a better cover ever? Okay, maybe there is… but still, it's killer.
Tomahawk #1 Windy City pedigree (DC, 1950) CGC VF+ 8.5 Cream to off-white pages. Why link to it? I don't remember ever seeing a copy. That's why.
Wonder Woman #1 Rockford pedigree (DC, 1942) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white to white pages. Damn fine book.
All Select Comics #11 (Timely, 1946) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages. That's one stylish cover. Maybe not the most important Timely book, but it's still a classic.
Annie Oakley #2 Vancouver pedigree (Timely, 1948) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. While I still mean what I said when I first started to discuss the Vancouver pedigree- the collection looks like the OO was trying to find the LEAST interesting books on the shelves; the condition of them is AMAZING. They're damn nice books.
Captain America Comics #1 Kansas City pedigree (Timely, 1941) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Cream to off-white pages. Can a book like this be an afterthought? In this auction it just might be. Does this book make guide? We'll see.
Daring Mystery Comics #1 Denver pedigree Timely, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white pages. I want to see a knock down drag out bidding war over this book. A couple of bidding behemoths battling it out for like seventy five bids., finifhing at over six figures for a suprise entry into the $100,000 club.
Again, I wonder how much money will be in the room in a couple of weeks. However much it is, as a spectator, I'd LOVE to see a lot of it go toward this book.
The Human Torch #2 (#1) (Timely, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white pages. Unless Mark just wants to sell it, Karnak says RNM.
Those were some serious books. That'll do for tonight 🙂 Next: page 17.
