Captain America Comics 1 CGC 8.0 Unrestored!

Seller: filter81 ( 170) Final Tally: US $39,999.00 (Reserve met)

Here's the description:

"Up for sale here is a Captain America Comics 1 CGC 8.0 Unrestored! Captain America 1 is one of my personal favorites and is chalk full of comic book history! This comic, published in 1941, features the origin and first appearances of Captain America, Bucky, and the Red Skull. This comic also features the classic cover where Captain America is punching Hitler in the face, even though this comic was published prior to the United States entering WWII!

This comic is the 6th most valuable comic in existence, with a NM- guide value of $125,000! VF guide value for this comic is $50,000, but typically sells for a little over guide in this grade. (One sold last year for $60,000 and another one recently sold on Comiclink for $56,000!) To date, 60 copies of this comic have been graded by the CGC, only 8 of which grade higher than an 8.0!

This particular copy looks outstanding, and easily looks like it should've graded at least an 8.5! This copy was printed with a printing error on the front cover. (CGC notes on the label "Printing Error – Red Ink never printed on color". For some reason this comic was printed with yellows on the front cover instead of red. Otherwise, I feel this book would've likely graded higher. This book is being listed at WELL below guide value in order to facilitate a quick sale!

If you have any questions I can be reached at ***-***-**** or by E-mail at Filter@***********.com. However, I would prefer to be reached by phone since I have been told that I have not been receiving all of my E-mails recently. The book is available for viewing during the course of the auction, and the winning bidder is more than welcome to pick up the book in person. This is the 4th Captain America Comics 1 that I have listed for sale on eBay in the last 3 years and this one by far blows the other three copies away. I have never seen an unrestored copy that looked this nice!! Good luck and have fun bidding!"
