Hey Rob, there was just a CGC 8.0 copy of Batman #1 that sold at Heritage 3/30/23 for $1.1 million. It was from a Detroit collection found a few years ago owned by a Dale Watts who passed in 2020. Heritage is really pushing this collection, even giving it a name, "Fantast"?? And they are putting together a documentary about it? Weird.

Thanks for the tip. I'm just getting out from under a pretty crazy year (in a good way, but still) so I'm hoping to update everything over the next few months. I'm sure I've missed out on a few juicy sales.

A 6.0 Det #27 sold for $1.74 mil at the same auction.

Rob, there have been quite a few $1million+ sales in 2021 & 2022. The biggest? A Superman #1 8.0 sold in January 2022 in a private sale. It was an Edgar Church Mile High copy. There is a picture on the CGC site in news release article. Is that the one you mention in your Most Valuable Comics article? If so, it sold for 2.5x the amount you last estimated. That's crazy. If you can email me, I can send you a list of the more recent sales that I have put together.
