"Q: I am very familiar with the story of this pedigree. Only two copies of AF 15 were in the original White Mountain set but one remained ungraded and was sold at an estate auction by accident by an owner's trustees. The other copy had previously been sold for 150,000. Your copy will be worth at minimum double that amount. Please e-mail me as my company would like to acquire it. We are interested in flying you and the item to our Dallas office to see the item. I have sent you an e-mail with the details. Your response is greatly requested."
"A:Hi E.J. – I am sorry, I've made it firm that this item will remain as a true auction. Please play fair, and bid like the others. I had a buy-it-now option at the beginning of the listing, however it was not utilized, and so true bidding was enabled when someone placed a bid. Best of luck in your bidding."

Now, why can't the White Mountain Daredevil #1 show up like that?

No chance on earth this is legit.

Oh? Yeah. I'd choke if it were actually the missing White Mountain copy and lord knows how nice it even is. Still… 33 bids, a $20k+ final tally and an "ask seller a question" with people like Ed Jaster and Matt Nelson circling "just in case" is pretty fun to watch.
