Heritage post .02

Likely my last post of the year as well (I've got crazy new years eve dinner shopping to do πŸ™‚ ), so HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A few more Heritage quick hits and then I'll see you guys on the other side.

Flash Comics #1 Mile High pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. I'm REALLY curious to see where this ends up. I think we might see a bargain price on this book.

More Fun Comics #52 Larson pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. Here's another one. How much More Fun money is left in the hobby after the pair of MF 53s that have come up in the past year? Obviously this is a significant book, but I just don't know how much support something like this is going to have with all the books that have sold recently AND all of the other books in this auction. I mean, I KNOW there's interest and support for the Pay Copy at a reasonable level, but for this book? I'd like to think so, but we'll have to wait to find out…

Mr. District Attorney #1 (DC, 1948) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages. This one goes out to all the lawyers on the forum. Lawyering it up in 2006!

New Adventure Comics #29 Mile High pedigree (DC, 1938) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. Supernatural.

"Congratulations!

Think I'll win it?

Sensation Comics #1 (DC, 1942) CGC Apparent NM 9.4 Slight (P) Off-white pages. That's the nicest looking copy of that book I've ever seen πŸ™‚

'This isn't just any gorilla cover, it's arguably the most famous gorilla cover of all, because it's the comic that started the gorilla craze at DC. As the book Comics: Between The Panels reported, "When the circulation figures on the book tumbled in, (editor Julius) Schwartz said, 'The editor-in-chief came in and said, 'What happened to the circulation, it almost doubled in sales.' I looked at it and said, 'Maybe it was the gorilla.'" As the saying goes, the rest is history!'

Here, I'll end the year on a high note with my "book of the year." When this was simply announced as being in existence I was excited, but when I got a look at it I was just blown away. Great book and I hope it sells for a great price.

Superman #2 (DC, 1939) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages.

And that's it! See you in '06 for more of the same (with a revamped gallery section πŸ™‚ )
