If It Makes Reserve, We'll Have a New Entry in the Top eBay Sales List
AMAZING FANTASY #15 (MARVEL) – AUGUST 1962 – CGC 7.5
Already at nearly $30,000 with 4 days to go. That puts it at #23 with plenty of room to climb. 50-60k would put it solidly in the top 10.
Of course, it's an Amazing Fantasy 15, which means I'm nodding off writing this, but it's still interesting whenever anything cracks into that top 25 list.

AMAZING FANTASY #15 FN/VF 7.0 UNRESTORED *1ST SPIDERMAN
Winning bid: US $22,100.00 Seller: robojo33( 1306)
Description
This listing is for a light cream to off-white paged Amazing Fantasy #15 in beautiful, strict unrestored FN/VF condition, featuring the first Spiderman appearance.
It is the original, issued in 1962.
Incredibly, the comic has no chips of any kind, detached or attached, on the right and bottom edges and there is only a trace of minor chipping on the overhang area only on the top edge.
Aside from some spine stressing, a minute chip, and a graphite rub at the spine between the two word balloons, the cover is nearly perfect, and I mean a very unsmudged, gorgeous cover, with briliant colors and incredible presentation.
The comic is clean, complete, and has no tape, repairs, or restoration of any kind.

AMAZING FANTASY #15 Appt. NM+ 9.6 (RESTORED) *ORIGINAL*
Winning bid: US $16,950.00 Seller: robojo33( 1288 )
Description:
First off, if you are only getting the new and improved eBay item page, where the large image no longer appears where it did, below the description, here is the large image link for this comic:
http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr337/Robotics223/AF15_112308.jpg
This listing is for a magnificent, white paged, Original 1962 Amazing Fantasy #15 in Apparent NM+ condition.
Back cover image:
http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr337/Robotics223/AF15back_Scan.jpg
It has very slight professional color touch (no bleedthrough) and is imperceptibly trimmed, neither of which most will be able to detect. It looks every bit as gorgeous as the scan illustrates and is only equaled in condition by the AF #15 CGC 9.6 Slight (P) that I auctioned on eBay earlier this year for $50,300. This is not the same comic.
The sole unrestored AF #15 in this condition, a CGC 9.6 Universal, would likely sell for $750,000 to $1,000,000 (based on the last CGC 9.4 selling for approx. $250,000).
This is a rare chance to own a visually comparable, and absolutely stunning example at a fraction of the cost, due to very slight, professional color touch, and an almost imperceptible trim.
Ring in the New Year by adding the single most desireable Silver age Key issue in unimagineable condition to your collection!
The comic is original, complete, clean, very glossy, and has no other restoration of any kind.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS COMIC IS BEING LISTED AS RESTORED with FULL DISCLOSURE and WILL GRADE RESTORED IF AND WHEN SUBMITTED.
An apparent grade reflects the overall appearance after restoration.
This comic was already obviously a super high grade example before the very slight professional color touch and extremely fractional trim.

Heritage: Superman #6 in 8.5 Sells for 10x NM Guide!
$56,762.50 realized for a book that guides at 5,600 in 9.2
Wow.
In other results, Marvel Comics #1 continues to underwhelm at auction. At this rate, not only will Golden Age books pass it in value, some Silver Age books will start to lap it as well. In the case of the hottest book in the universe, Amazing Fantasy 15, $118,977 isn't all that far away from $155,350.00 and that's a straight comparison at the 8.5 grade. Comparing relative condition (5th best or whatever) and AF15 would probably smoke Marvel Comics #1 right now.
Crazy.
Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 9.2 Sells for $190,000!
What… the… hell!
That's madness.
With results like this for yet another AF15, if the ComicConnect Action #1 doesn't sell for $500,000 I'm going to cry.
Amazing Fantasy #15 – Pedigree Comics
I'll be adding this book into the $100,000 club tomorrow, I just had to capture my WTF! reaction to this news as soon as I heard about the sale.
