Please look at the pictures to see just how beautiful this comic really is. Both the front and back covers are very clean and have super bright colors. The spine is near perfect and all four corners of the comic are sharp. The interior has excellent page quality. The comic has some color touch on the cover (around the extreme edges), small tear seals, and the cover has been cleaned all of which were done very professionally and really looks amazing. Other than that, this is an absolutely stunning 1st appearance of one of the most popular superheroes in existence. The comic is 100% complete and is firmly attached at both staples.

Marvel Mystery Annual #nn CGC 6.5 SINGLE HIGHEST GRADED Timely Human Torch
This offering is one of true rarity and is a Gerber "10" for scarcity. Less than 10 copies of this 128 page Timely Annual issued in Canada are believed to exist. This is the SINGLE HIGHEST GRADCED COPY on the census and comes fresh from the Quebec Collection. Some minor wear near the upper left corner of the back cover and a faint crease near that spine that is only noticeable at the right angle keep the technical grade lower. This example looks VF dead on and has such a pretty spine. We doubt a nicer copy exists anywhere known or not. Pages are supple and smell fresh and the covers are still glossy. This rare gem should bring a multiple of guide and will most likely be coveted by most high grade Timely collectors. Auction Estimate: $65,000+

Detective Comics #31 CGC 4.0 All-time Classic Cover 3rd Batman Cover OW/WHITE
Considered by many as maybe the best Batman cover of all-time, this classic cover by Bob Kane features a larger than life image of Batman in the night rising behind a castle on a lonely hill. This unforgettable image is just one of the reasons this issue is so high on just about every Dark Night and golden age collector's list. I go back and forth on Deodato. This one is 100% forth.
I don't even feel guilty about liking this piece. I always look at Platt as sort of a guilty pleasure since he's so symbolic of an era that I feel was bad for comics. The thing is, there's a lot to like about his art and this piece is almost all about the good parts and none about the bad. +1
You don't see a ton of these on eBay.
