For some folks this was a defining run in the 1990s.

I just dig this image. Very cool.

Sam Kieth – Original Art for Marvel Comics Presents #92

This run was a big deal back in the day. It's not for everyone but I'm a fan of the art on this series.

Highlights from the Heritage November Signature Auction

This, of course, is the biggest book of the auction. Crazy that it could be a Bronze Age book but that's the hand we're dealt.

Not that I'm complaining. I'm a fan.

Anyway, on with the show:

Journey Into Mystery #106 White Mountain pedigree CGC NM 9.4 Off-white pages

There are several White Mountain books in this auction. Old labels even. Nice books. Here's hoping there's no SCS.

Let me use this opportunity to remind people that I would really, really, really, really like to buy white mountain Daredevils. Got any? Know where any are? Lemmeknow!

THE INCREDIBLE HIULK # 1…THE WHITE MOUNTAIN COPY. What more needs to be said? One of the Keyest of Key books. This book has WHITE PAGES as per the OLD CGC (and some say back then they played by a much more strict set of grading rules). This book grades VF 8.0 so it is one of the top graded books. As with most WHITE MOUNTAIN PEDIGREE BOOKS there is a written year (date) on the cover… this one is no different. The AF 15, Spidey 1 as well as the FF1 all sold at record or near record prices from this ultimate Silver age Pedigree collection. The INCREDIBLE HULK is the only NUMBER 1 from the WHITE MOUNTAIN COLLECTION that is actually AVAILABLE and NOT tide up with some big name auction house that will stick you for another 20 PER CENT upon obtaining the winning bid.

DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS KEY BOOK FROM THE MOST SIGNIFICANT COLLECTION OF SILVER AGE BOOKS EVER….I PRESENT:

I think I know what will win the top eBay item next week. It might even break into the all time eBay list…

While I've got you here, anyone know where the White Mountain Daredevil #1 is?

Depressing but true

New comic alert… I'm dropping The Ultimates 3. I loved the Millar/Hitch version of the characters. this? Not so much love to be found.

The biggest reason I'm dropping it?

The #1 reason?

Thor doing the "verily", "thee" and "thou" thing.

Ultimate Thor, as conceived by Hitch/Millar was one of my favorite characters in superhero comics. This guy? Not so much.

Maybe Ultimates 4 will suck less?

Great auction, but the questions might be even better.

"Q: I am very familiar with the story of this pedigree. Only two copies of AF 15 were in the original White Mountain set but one remained ungraded and was sold at an estate auction by accident by an owner's trustees. The other copy had previously been sold for 150,000. Your copy will be worth at minimum double that amount. Please e-mail me as my company would like to acquire it. We are interested in flying you and the item to our Dallas office to see the item. I have sent you an e-mail with the details. Your response is greatly requested."

"A:Hi E.J. – I am sorry, I've made it firm that this item will remain as a true auction. Please play fair, and bid like the others. I had a buy-it-now option at the beginning of the listing, however it was not utilized, and so true bidding was enabled when someone placed a bid. Best of luck in your bidding."

Amazing Fantasy #15 1962 Spider Man – Better than NM+

Now, why can't the White Mountain Daredevil #1 show up like that?
