Captain America Comics #46

Grade: Well this is it, arguably the most classic cover in comics! Please look at the pictures to decide the grade for yourself. In my opinion this comic looks like a 5.0 and really is in fantastic shape. There is just a tiny bit of tape on the spine. The cover was cleaned and really looks great with very fresh and bright colors that really pop out at you. The interior is in really nice shape. The comic is 100% complete.

High Value eBay Comics Auction For the Week Ending 2012.4.21 (Incredible Hulk #1)

Incredible Hulk 1 cgc 6.0 WP key silver age comic book L@@K

Sold For: $9,000 Seller: tracydizenhouse ( 167 )

Description:

Hi All!

Up for bidding is one of the biggest key books of the silver age, the first appearance and book of the incredible hulk! Very in demand book and with so few copies of this gem available, you shouldn't pass it up!

This book is CGC graded as 6.0 (F) with perfect WHITE pages!!! This book looks much higher than a 6.0 in my opinion, the grade is being pulled down due to some marvel chipping on the right side of the front cover. WIthout the chipping, I would give this book a VF- or VF grade!!

Shipping will be included, and I'll send USPS priority which is 2-3 days typically anywhere in the US. International buyers will have to inquire about purchasing this book (and associated shipping costs)

A great book to add to any serious collector's portfolio OR simply a good investment to put in the closet as a diversified investment!

This book has only gone up for the last decades and will continue to do so!

Good luck bidding and be sure to ask questions and check out my other auctions. I have other key comics for sale and coming up on ebay (including Amazing Fantasy 15, Spider-man 1, Hulk 1, Fantastic Four 1, Showcase 22, Avengers 1 and Many Many More)

I will accept paypal (for more expensive books, other arrangements may be worked out at buyer's discretion)

Thanks for looking and be sure to add me as a favorite seller, plenty more big books coming!

This is also the first Fawcett comic book to hit newsstands, and it's got the first appearances of Dr. Sivana, Golden Arrow, Dan Dare, Lance O'Casey, Spy Smasher and Ibis (a couple of whom later starred in their own titles). C. C. Beck cover and art.

Sold For: $24,977.00 Seller: sparklecitycomics ( 44372 )

Description:

Suspense Comics #3 CGC 6.5 SCARCE Classic Schomburg Bondage Cover Continental'

Suspense Comics #3 is one of the most desirable comics of the golden age. The cover is arguably Schomburg's best and due to both its scarcity and cover art, Suspense Comics #3 is at the top of just about every golden age collector's list. The biggest problem is finding a copy. This amazing copy is one just about the best that can be acquired. There are just 2 copies that have graded higher with the highest being a lone 8.0 and just a single coipy one notch down at 7.5. It is doubtful that either of those copies will be available anytime soon. Serial number 0013021002. Very small piece of tape on centerfold at staple.

High Value eBay Comics Auction For the Week Ending 2012.3.3 (Detective Comics #27)

Detective Comics #27 CGC 1.8 OW/W 1st appearance BATMAN Bob Kane DC Golden Age
Sold For:$116,100.00 Seller: sparklecitycomics ( 44139 )

Description:

Detective Comics #27 CGC 1.8 OW/W 1st appearance BATMAN Bob Kane DC Golden Age

Detective Comics #27 which introduced Batman to the world is easily the 2nd most desirable comic ever printed. With Batman's longevity, increased demand and popularity as compared with Superman in recent years, it appears that the gap in both price and importance has be closing between Detective #27 and Action #1. There are only 27 unrestored copies of this MEGA KEY golden age 1st appearance that have been certified in 12 years of CGC's existence. Of those 27 copies, only 4 examples fall in the "relatively affordable" grade range of 1.5 and 2.5. This example is one of those 4. The eye appeal and color strike are more beautiful than the assigned grade. Part of the reason for the beautiful page quality and appearance, is the fact that this example was stored in a box for 65 years in a cool climate. Its a rare opportunity to buy a fresh to market book of this caliber. This auction is NO RESERVE.
