THE SAGINAW COLLECTION

Hailing from Saginaw Michigan, this original owner collections features complete runs of most major Marvel Titles in astonishing condition. Once collectors get their hands on these ultra high grade books, they will be amazed by the vivid deep colors on the covers and the white interior pages. When we first held these books, it became clear that this is what silver age marvels looked like the day they hit the newsstand. A young man bought everyone of these stunning comics from the same newsstand from 14 years old to 35 years old any read them once carefully and placed them inside plastic in groups of 10 and wrapped them tight. We had the honor of being the ones to open them this year. These early Marvels have not seen the light of day for almost 50 years. Unlike some of the other great Silver Age pedigree collections, the Saginaw collection will be offered on EBAY exclusively with No Reserve.

Daredevil #1 CGC 9.2 OW/White 1st app Daredevil Marvel Silver Age Comic

Just a beautiful copy of the origin and 1st appearance of Daredevil. Killer gloss and color and perfect centering. Check out the whites on the cover, not even a hint of discoloration. There is some minor color loss in the upper left corner which resulted in a 9.2 but this copy is as nice as any 9.4….1st appearance of Karan Page and Goggy Nealson. Stan Lee story. Jack Kirby and Bill Everett cover. Serial number 1053504009

The Book:

Five for Friday (Miller Wolverine, McFarlane Spider-Man, Mignola, Avengers 4, Daredevil 43 CGC 9.8)

Daredevil #43 CGC 9.8 Captain America Marvel Silver Age Comic Jack Kirby

I don't like the centering on this copy, but it's a really high number and it should do well.

Avengers #4 CGC 9.6 *HIGHEST GRADED* 1st SA Captain America Marvel Silver Age

Another Saginaw book that will end up on the eBay record list.

Frank Miller Wolverine #1 Page 12 Mini-Series Original Art 1982

It's a great time to be a Miller collector if you've been fretting about the lack of material. Pages are flooding the market.

Todd McFarlane Original Art Amazing Spider Man #308 page19 Spidey in all cells!

These pages generate just a little bit of interest… I think this was the fist issue of McFarlane's Spider-Man that I actually bought.

Original Mike Mignola Witchfinder #2 Cover art! Auction for Sonny!

Post a Mignola cover and I will feature it here. That's a rule.

Five for Friday (Gene Colan, Jimmy Cheung, Amazing Man #5, Strange Adventures #1, Mignola BPRD)

Jimmy Cheung – New Avengers #42 pg 15 FULL PAGE SPLASH

That's a ridiculous splash page right there. Jimmy Cheung is great and everything he's got is going into that splash.

AMAZING MAN #5 "1939". PGX 8.0 (R) NICE! Noted as RARE.

Cool, book. Someone buy it and get it out of that PGX holder.

STRANGE ADVENTURES #1 1950 Photo Cvr Atomic Bomb O/W

I'm a sucker for this book. You know this.

ORIGINAL ART Gene Colan DAREDEVIL Black Widow 1979

What a great page. From near the end of Colan's run on the book this page still shows everything Colan could bring to a page. What a great talent.

BPRD 1946 HELLBOY Original Cover Art by Mike Mignola

I'm always going to post a nice Mignola page. I'm a sucker for his work.

FANTASTIC FOUR #73 CGC 9.8 HIGHEST GRADED vs AVENGERS

I love this cover, personally. Bone white, by the looks of it. I even like the date stamp. I'm not a date stamp hater, but that one seems almost well placed.

MYSTIC 7 CGC 3.5 (R) Classic Kirby Hitler ! 1st WITNESS

Not a book you see on eBay all that often.

MOPSY COMICS #1 CGC CENTRAL VALLEY PEDIGREE HIGHEST

And now… for something pretty random. That's a neat book.

Highlights from the May 2011 Heritage Auction

Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Batman: The Dark Knight #3 Batman and Robin Iconic Splash Page 10 Original Art

You thought I was going to start somewhere else? I don't care what anyone else thinks… To me this page is the best piece of comic art from the 1980s I've ever seen for sale and is one of the best possible pages from the entire decade. Simply amazing.

Three Daredevils for Show and Tell

Five for Friday (Absolute Planetary, Frank Miller, TOS 49, Daredevil 7, Chris Ware)

Daredevil 7 CGC 9.2 NM- 1st red costume High Grade!

10+ years into the CGC era and this remains a difficult book to find in high grade. It's a real favorite around these parts AND filter is selling it- what's not to love?

ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY, Volume 1: SUPER-RARE!!!

I learned a lesson with this one- BUY ABSOLUTE BOOKS WHEN THEY COME OUT. I'm super happy to have my Planetary set.

Frank Miller Dark Knight Batman drawing NM no resv

A rather nice image, don't you think? Not exactly this, but it'll be a lot cheaper.

TALES OF SUSPENSE #49 CGC NM- 9.2 WHITE1ST X-MEN X-OVER

There's a lot to like about this book. Iron Man + X-Men = oooh, aaaah, oh wow.

Chris Ware Original Art Page from JIMMY CORRIGAN/ACME

I don't seek it out, but I can't remember seeing any Chris Ware art on eBay before. Maybe I just missed it?
