Up for bidding is one of the biggest key books of the silver age, the first appearance and book of the incredible hulk! Very in demand book and with so few copies of this gem available, you shouldn't pass it up!

This book is CGC graded as 6.0 (F) with perfect WHITE pages!!! This book looks much higher than a 6.0 in my opinion, the grade is being pulled down due to some marvel chipping on the right side of the front cover. WIthout the chipping, I would give this book a VF- or VF grade!!

Shipping will be included, and I'll send USPS priority which is 2-3 days typically anywhere in the US. International buyers will have to inquire about purchasing this book (and associated shipping costs)

A great book to add to any serious collector's portfolio OR simply a good investment to put in the closet as a diversified investment!

Whiz Comics #2 (#1) (Fawcett, 1940) CGC Apparent NM- 9.2 Extensive (P) Off-white to white pages. This is the only restored copy graded above 8.0, and the highest-graded unrestored copy is 8.5. A very significant book, this is the origin and first appearance of Captain Marvel, who soon would become the bestselling superhero on the stands, bar none (that's right Superman, we said bar none). This is also the first Fawcett comic book to hit newsstands, and it's got the first appearances of Dr. Sivana, Golden Arrow, Dan Dare, Lance O'Casey, Spy Smasher and Ibis (a couple of whom later starred in their own titles). Suspense Comics #3 is one of the most desirable comics of the golden age. The cover is arguably Schomburg's best and due to both its scarcity and cover art, Suspense Comics #3 is at the top of just about every golden age collector's list. The biggest problem is finding a copy. This amazing copy is one just about the best that can be acquired. There are just 2 copies that have graded higher with the highest being a lone 8.0 and just a single coipy one notch down at 7.5. It is doubtful that either of those copies will be available anytime soon. Serial number 0013021002. Very small piece of tape on centerfold at staple.

It contains such highlights as the legendary artwork of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, the "Excelsior" writing of Stan Lee, as well as being the first appearance of Thor in the Marvel Universe!! And to top it all off, the book has been signed by Stan "The Man" Lee!!! This book has been given a 6.5 grade by CGC, is part of their signature series, and as of 10/31/11, there are only two copies graded higher in the signature series!!!!
