Comic Books Aren't Packaged in Plastic Bags (most of the time)

I just wanted to put that in writing. A lot of people who write in to get their comic books appraised say things like "it's still in the original plastic."

99.9999% of the time there was no original plastic. The pamphlet inside the plastic is the comic book in its original state. The plastic bag is a later addition.

And there you have it.

P.S. A comic in a bag from the 1980s is actually a BAD thing. It could do more harm than good as regular bags are really only designed to last a few years. Mylar? Sure. Archival. A plastic baggie from the John Byrne era? Not so good.

Meanwhile… Pep 22 on eBay

This Pep 22 showed up on eBay last week and didn't really last very long before it became "unavailable."

It was a low feedback seller, with not a lot of detail about the restoration and it still sold within about 24 hours of the listing. To me, $15,000 was a bit of a gamble. Closer to $10,000 would have been a safer price. Still, its a rare book so if you'd been looking for a while it's a copy and sometimes that's all it takes to make a sale.

I will probably regret it when in following years it goes for $40K or more like all other silver age books. Xmen#1 now at this price and was $9k, AF#15 sky-rocketed to $100K, ASM#1 over $30K, this is just another under priced Gem.

Called CGC (1877-NM-COMIC) and the notes:Tiny stress on spine,Tiny line abrasions along edges,

Tiny chip on lower back cover and Date stamp on cover. No problem found on interior.

1st Appearance of Iron Man 1963

BLUE LABEL UNRESTORED NO QUALIFIERS

NO MARVEL CHIPPING ANYWHERE

Movie in MAY has made the popularity of Iron-man go up. This will only drive the price up. It is still under priced as for Silver Age high grade first appearance goes.

Proof is in what happened in the past when the first Iron Man movie came

out and it more than doubled in price. Also, what happened to AF#15 after the movies, skyrocketed in price. So why am I selling, I am making money and selling below the futures price, need to consolidate some bills and fixing my home.

SUPER KEY ISSUE! NOT MANY LEFT IN THE WORLD!

VERY HIGH DEMAND & VERY LOW SUPPLY

HUGE INVESTMENT POTENTIAL

Make me an offer and see if it can WIN IT!!

Seller's Grading Comments: New Movie on the way and this will sky rocket again. Invest now and have a solid return of 30% to 50%, maybe allot more.
