White Mountain Fantastic Four #1 Sells For 143k

Pedigree sold the 3rd nicest Fantastic Four #1 tonight for $143000.00. I really had no idea where it would end up, so I'm not sure what my reaction is. I would have liked it to sell closer to the record for an AF15 (190k), but that's just because I'm an unrepentant Fantastic Four fan boy.

A Gallery of Early Action Comics Without Superman on the Cover

This post is exactly what the title says. All the early Actions without Superman on the cover. The later ones have him in the inset, but don't feature him. These are both awesome and kind of weird, because Superman turned out to be such a big deal and they didn't initially realize what kind of a phenomenon they had on their hands.

Enjoy!

High eBay Comics Item for the Week Ending 2010.1.16 (TALES OF SUSPENSE #39)

TALES OF SUSPENSE #39 CGC 8.5 VF+ NO RESERVE

This is one of the lowest totals I can ever remember for this particular horse race. Is everyone saving their money for the 8.0 Tec 27, WM Fantastic Four #1 and the 9.4 X-Men #1? This isn't the greatest listing in the history of the world. That can't have helped.

If It Makes Reserve, We'll Have a New Entry in the Top eBay Sales List

AMAZING FANTASY #15 (MARVEL) – AUGUST 1962 – CGC 7.5

Already at nearly $30,000 with 4 days to go. That puts it at #23 with plenty of room to climb. 50-60k would put it solidly in the top 10.

Of course, it's an Amazing Fantasy 15, which means I'm nodding off writing this, but it's still interesting whenever anything cracks into that top 25 list.
